Fermented and aged in 30% new French oak, the 2016 Chardonnay Bow Tie Vineyard is intensely scented of warm grapefruit, white peaches, honeycomb and marzipan with hints ginger and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied with a gorgeous, creamy texture and tons of honey and spice accents to the profound stone fruit flavors, it finishes wonderfully toasty. 800 cases were made.

I love the combination of tropical notes, such as mangoes, papaya and jack fruit with ripe apricots, orange blossom, peach flan and spices. Very layered on the palate with lots of fruit, but it’s very well integrated with the driven acidity and tight phenolics. Drink in 2021.
