2019 STRATA Pinot Noir
Named for the geology term for layers of soil, our 2019 STRATA Pinot Noir captures the many nuances of our vineyard sites throughout the Russian River Valley. Aromatic hints of dark chocolate-covered cranberry, wild berry and dried sage draw attention on the nose. Deeply layered and complex on the palate, juicy plum, dusty blackberry, dark cherry, strawberry and blueberry characteristics blend seamlessly with sweet anise, tea leaf and herbal notes. Tannins are firm yet round, while the fruit’s natural acidity lifts the finish.

An estate-grown wine of tremendous substance and power, this red opens in a density of juicy red fruit and supple, velvety texture. Underneath there is tension and tannin that provide further concentration and muscular imprint, leading to a finishing hit with cardamom, clove and forest floor.
