Baked Camembert with Ham and Stewed Cherries

1 wheel Camembert cheese

6-8 Slices cured ham (Prosciutto or similar)

1/8 cup All-purpose flour

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed

1 egg yolk, beaten with 1 tsp water



Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wrap the cheese with the slices of ham to cover the cheese completely.

Lightly flour a clean work surface. Lay the puff pastry on the floured surface, then fold the puff pastry around the cheese. Make sure to completely cover the cheese, and trim any access pastry off.

Lightly brush the puff pastry with the egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Serve with crusty bread, stewed cherries, and your favorite roasted nut.
