Ahi Tuna Tartare

J Vineyards & Winery has been at the forefront of the wine and food experience since our first tasting program launched in 1999. All of the recipes have been created by our J Culinary Team to pair perfectly with our exceptional portfolio of varietal and sparkling wines.

Serves 2 Cups

Ingredients:

8 oz sushi grade ahi tuna, small dice
½ cup mango brunoise
1 ea. Asian red chile, brunoise (no seeds)
1 tablespoon cilantro leaves
chiffonade juice from 2 limes
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper

Method:

Fold ingredients together. Spoon onto slices of jicama.

This also makes a nice first course if served in a chilled martini glass.

This Tuna Tartare was the most fresh, delicious, and awe-inspiring dish I have ever had the pleasure of consuming.  The only enhancement to this dish that I could fathom would be more Brut Rose on the side!
