Slate, praline and sea spray — as they alight on the palate, the dominant notes of 08 XLD are contrasted by a lift and fullness brought by hints of mandarin, black truffle and dried quince. Delicate aromatics akin to honeycomb, baked apple and spiced fruit chutney develop into notes of fresh sourdough and toasted almond.
