The Vineyards
The grapes for this Brut Rosé were selected from J’s Estate Vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Our vineyards yield a balanced crop of clean, healthy and flavorful grapes that exhibit bright and lush aromas and flavors.
Processing
All grapes were hand-harvested into forty pound lugs and placed whole cluster into our Coquard press for a gentle pressing cycle.
Aging
After secondary fermentation in the bottle, the wines aged for an average of thirty-six months in our cool cellar. Dosage was made from a blend of wood-aged, reserve wines and pure cane sugar. The wine was aged for at least another six months before it was released from our cellars.
Tasting Notes
This J Brut Rosé sparkles with a luminous cool pink hue and exudes delicate aromas of strawberry, nectarine and juicy red apples. On the palate, the wine opens with flavors of cherry, blood orange, citrus peel and the tropical star fruit that are underlined by a bright acidity that keeps the overall impression delightfully fresh with a lively, lingering finish. The wine engages the entire palate with balance wrapped in a refined body of elegance and effervescence.
