Planted in 2009, this 16.5-acre vineyard is comprised entirely of Pinot Noir rooted in Goldridge soils. Located off Canfield Road near Sebastopol’s Bloomfield Road, the cool air flowing through the Petaluma Gap from the Pacific Ocean greatly influences the quality of these grapes, perhaps more than any of our other vineyards. A former chicken farm, the property has become one of J’s most sophisticated vineyards, utilizing advances in site preparation, drip irrigation and the creation of a sub-surface vineyard drainage system to maintain proper soil moisture levels.
